Michael C. Bowen, CFA
Managing Director
Michael Bowen is a co-founder and managing director of 31 North Capital Partners. He helps the firm source and evaluate new investments, and spends time doing everything in his power to help out the portfolio companies. Michael also works on developing relationships with the investors and lenders that make the company’s activities possible.
Michael also serves as Vice President of Finance and Investments at Premier Hotel Corporation. In this role, he develops financial projections for real estate acquisitions and dispositions and evaluates new investment opportunities for Premier's account and for investor partnerships.
Michael formerly served as a co-founder and principal of 31 North Wealth Management, an RIA registered in the state of Georgia. In that role, Michael shared responsibility for operations and engaged in financial planning and investment management for the firm's clients. He also served as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer.
Prior to 31 North and Premier, Michael was an analyst at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, the commercial loan department of Prudential Financial. At Prudential, Michael evaluated more than $6 billion in commercial loan opportunities spanning all major property types and facilitated the closing of more than $400 million of loans for the company's general account and CMBS programs.
Michael Bowen holds dual undergraduate degrees in finance and real estate from the University of Georgia and graduated summa cum laude with highest honors from UGA's Honors Program. Michael has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Atlanta. He has also earned a Master of Science in Finance from Georgetown University, where he received the awards of MSF Valedictorian and MSF Honors.
Michael is a past board member of Atlanta Young Real Estate Professionals, and holds a license to perform real estate brokerage in the state of Georgia. Michael resides in Tifton, Georgia. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, playing guitar, fishing, and travelling.
